Lara Denning joins the cast of the UK & Ireland tour of HERE & NOW

The producers of the brand-new musical HERE & NOW, presented by UK pop sensation Steps, are delighted to announce that West End star Lara Denning will take over the role of Caz from 11 November 2025. Rebecca Lock, who currently plays the role, will give her final performance on Sunday 9 November.

Lara Denning joins the production fresh from playing Anne Hathaway in the UK and Ireland tour of & Juliet. Her extensive credits include Sunset Boulevard (Savoy Theatre), Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Apollo Theatre and UK Tour), The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 ¾ (The Ambassadors & Menier Chocolate Factory), Matilda (Cambridge Theatre), Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Eugenius! (Turbine Theatre), Carousel (Kilworth House Theatre), Scrooge The Musical (Curve, Leicester), The Rocky Horror Show (European Tour), All the Fun of the Fair (UK Tour), and Dirty Dancing in Concert (UK Tour). On screen, she has appeared in I Came By (Film4/New Regency), Ruthless The Musical (BroadwayHD), Matilda (Sony Pictures), and Toast of London (Channel 4).

The current cast of HERE & NOW also includes Jacqui Dubois, Blake Patrick Anderson, Rosie Singha, Finty Williams, River Medway, Chris Grahamson, Edward Baker-Duly, Ben Darcy, John Stacey and Lauren Woolf, alongside a talented ensemble company.

Featuring Steps’ greatest hits, HERE & NOW has an original book by Shaun Kitchener and is produced by the band and ROYO with Pete Waterman. The show is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Matt Cole, and musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Matt Spencer-Smith.

Set in seaside superstore Better Best Bargains, the musical follows Caz and her friends on a Friday night of music, dancing, heartbreak, and hope, packed with beloved tracks including Tragedy, One For Sorrow, Stomp and Chain Reaction.

Steps – Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Lee Latchford-Evans and Lisa Scott-Lee – are the UK’s most successful mixed pop group of all time, with 14 top five singles, four number one albums, over 22 million record sales, and 11 sold-out national arena tours.
